Cookie Policy

Last updated 4 November 2026

Cookies and similar technologies used on bgent.io to sign in, manage Agents, and complete checkout.

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Bgent (www.bgent.io) uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage, pixels used by payment providers, etc.). It supplements our Privacy Policy.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Some are essential to sign in and protect accounts; others help checkout or optional analytics.

2. How we use cookies

Strictly necessary — keep you signed in, maintain My Agents / manage-link sessions, complete OAuth handshakes, and protect against CSRF-style abuse of authenticated actions.

Functional — remember short-lived auth flow state (for example pending WeChat login) so Sign In can finish after a redirect.

Payments — when you buy lead packs, WeChat/Jimu, PayPal, or bank/FPS flows may set their own cookies or storage on their domains.

Analytics (only if enabled) — optional aggregate traffic measurement. Core booking/chat/API features do not require analytics cookies.

We do not currently use advertising cookies to build third-party ad profiles on bgent.io.

3. Cookies we set (first-party)

bgent_session — HttpOnly session cookie after Sign In (Google, WeChat, or email magic link). Purpose: authenticate you on My Agents and account surfaces. Typical lifetime: on the order of weeks (sliding with use); cleared on logout.

bgent_manage — HttpOnly cookie storing a manage-link token when you open an Agent via claim/create magic link. Purpose: authorize My Agents / inbox for that Agent without a full user session. Typical lifetime: aligned with the manage token validity; cleared when you end the manage session.

bgent_wx_pending — short-lived HttpOnly cookie used only during WeChat login redirects to finish account linking. Cleared when the flow completes or expires.

Exact names, paths, and Max-Age may change as we harden auth; necessary cookies remain required for Sign In and My Agents.

4. Third-party cookies & similar tech

Google — if you use Google Sign-In or One Tap, Google may set cookies under Google domains per Google’s policies.

WeChat — WeChat OAuth / Official Account flows may use WeChat-controlled storage on their domains.

PayPal / WeChat Pay (Jimu) — checkout pages may set payment-provider cookies.

Twilio, Telegram, Brevo — primarily server-side messaging; they do not normally set cookies on bgent.io pages, but links you open in those apps are subject to those providers’ policies.

Embeds — if a merchant embeds /chat/{handle}?embed=1 on another site, the iframe loads bgent.io and may set necessary cookies in that context when a visitor interacts with Sign In (rare on embed) or when we record a privacy-preserving referral beacon (server-side; not an advertising cookie).

5. Your choices

Browser controls: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will likely break Sign In and My Agents.

Sign out: use Sign Out to clear the session cookie from our side; also clear site data in the browser if you share a device.

Third parties: manage Google / PayPal / WeChat preferences in those products’ account settings where available.

We do not operate a separate “cookie preference center” today because we limit ourselves to necessary/functional cookies plus optional analytics only if explicitly enabled. If we add non-essential analytics or marketing cookies, we will update this Policy and provide appropriate controls where required by law.

6. Retention

Cookie lifetimes are described above. Server logs related to authenticated requests are retained under our Privacy Policy retention rules.

7. Changes & contact

We may update this Cookie Policy by posting a new version with a revised “Last updated” date.
